Physiotherapy Associates is a subsidiary of the Stryker Medical Corporation in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Physiotherapy Associates' corporate office is located in Memphis, TN. This company provides outpatient physical therapy / rehabilitation clinics nationwide. Some of our clinics in other markets are specialty facilities such as neuro rehab, sports medicine, inpatient hospital contracts, women's health clinics, and hand clinics. We have three outpatient facilities in the Louisville market. Our goal is to provision of the highest quality, most cost effective services in a consumer friendly manner to achieve positive rehabilitative outcomes. Patients are scheduled within 24 hours of referral with extended hours available. Our staff is highly trained and versatile to provide a wide range of therapeutic services with three clinical facilities in the greater Louisville area which offer comprehensive rehabilitation services for varied neuromusculoskeletal, orthopaedic, and cardiorespiratory diagnoses.

McDOWELL WELLNESS CENTER     

McDowell Wellness Center, a service of Ephraim McDowell Health offers comprehensive rehabilitation services. In addition to physical, occupational and speech therapy, the Center also offers industrial rehabilitation programs.

The industrial rehab programs address issue of injury prevention and injured worker rehabilitation. They focus on providing training and special services on site for local industries.

Work Risk Analysis is completed to identify high-risk areas. Corrective recommendations are provided to reduce the incidence of cumulative trauma injuries. Specific recommendations may include possible ergonomic intervention, modifications of work behaviors and appropriate on-the-job stretches.

Injury Prevention Training includes a Neck/Arm/Hand School, Back School and Ergonomic Team Training. The training recommended is based on the predominate type of injuries occurring or risks identified during the Work Risk Analysis. Ergonomic Team Training is a structured program that provides training of the necessary skills for an ongoing Injury Prevention Program.

OSHA Ergonomic Standards Consultation Services to assist employers with compliance issues.

Post-Hire and Pre-Placement Evaluation of newly hired workers' physical capacity as compared to essential job functions.

Injured Worker Programs include clinical rehabilitation based on diagnosis, job-specific work conditioning programs, Functional Capacity Evaluations and recommendations for modified duty programs.

The 21-person staff at McDowell Wellness Center are licensed professionals with extensive training and experience. Other occupational health services including drug testing, worker injury treatment, mobile mammography and health fairs are available.
