Training, Ergonomics, and Management for Health (T.E.A.M. for Health) is the industrial consultation division in Michigan of Physiotherapy Associates. T.E.A.M. for Health is a multi-disciplinary team of health and engineering professionals that provide assistance for the management of Cumulative Trauma and Back injuries in the work place.
Our tools include: problem identification and educational programs, including the IMPACC program; ergonomic management strategies, including engineering workshops: health management strategies, including providing therapists on-site for prevention management and a full line of rehabilitation services, including job coaching, working client, and functional capacity evaluations.
T.E.A.M. for Health has been doing industrial consultation for approximately 10 years in a wide variety of industries, with over 100 companies receiving various services from this industrial consultation division. In addition, we have trained over 30,000 individuals in prevention of on-the-job injuries with extreme success.
The approach that T.E.A.M. for Health uses is a proactive approach in that we feel safety is not a program, but it is an attitude that has to be incorporated in the entire company. We feel that most workers do not want to become injured, and therefore, can be held accountable for their actions, as well as motivated to take care of themselves in an appropriate manner throughout the course of the day to avoid workplace injuries. However, what we have found is that most employees lack this initial education, and that is the reason the educational programs that we provide are so very successful. We would be more than happy to provide a full client list with letters of recommendation to any company requesting it regarding our programs.
